A pale-faced girl turns her head to the moon,
Breathes a sigh of relief as she feels her heart swoon,
She’s so in tune with the rhythm of love and the words,
Brings those she loves together like a flourish of doves.

A solemn pouting mouth blows the night a kiss (kisses the night),
Masquerades her beauty in an attempt to embrace,
She stares at the moon with no ounce of regret,
She asks the moon; are we ready yet?

As he kisses her goodnight, he promises surprises,
Tells her things will get better; it’s not over yet,
She looks up at the sky and stares on ahead,
Blinded by reasons and answers, she can’t explain.

Never did she ever want to be a part of the game,
But she chose not to fight: thought things would stay the same.
